An illustration for upcoming charity project on https://spin-project.org regarding business casualties in Inle, Myanmar during Pandemic.
Inle Lake has always been one of the most infamous elegant places in Myanmar. Inle Lake is known to be the only place in the whole world where you can witness the “Leg Rowers”. This is the reason why, plus the enchanting nature landscapes and other rare cultural heritages of the place, Inle is alway on the top of the bucket list you must not miss when you travel Myanmar.
As we all have known, COVID-19 disaster has affected the Travel and Tourism industry all around the globe. Here as well, the lockdown protocols cause the tourism in Inle Lake to cease from which locals get their main incomes. This is the actual down-time for the residents in Inle Lake as their prominent businesses are relying on Tourism. Some of the villagers who work their lives for daily wages have lost their jobs. The pandemic has taken away the boat men’s jobs as nobody in the lake is there to take their service for transportation. Many businesses have been shut down one after another during the pandemic.
The residents are starting to worry about their starvation to death more than the Covid-19 itself. I am hoping this project can get international aid and help these people.
